The ladies at My Jane Austen Book Club & November's Autumn have organized Austen's Birthday Soiree which will be held on her actual birthday December 16. They have a long list of participating authors and bloggers who will each be hosting a giveaway. So don't forget to check out that list and the items being given away. Last year there were some lovely books and other giveaway prizes that you could enter for just by leaving a simple comment. Also many of the blogs had very fun and informative articles about Jane Austen's life and times.

Eva-Joy at Between The Covers hosted her own Jane Austen Week December 7-13. I encourage all of you to check out her lovely posts related to Jane Austen.

And Jane Austen Birthday Week has started at Yet Another Period Drama Blog! I'm quite excited about joining in the activities.
