This week I won't have very much time to tally scores so I've put together a quiz that you all can play here that will tally your score as you go.
The questions in this quiz concern facts, trivia and quotes from three Elizabeth Gaskell film adaptations: Wives and Daughters (1999), North and South (2004) and Cranford (2007). Don't worry if you haven't seen Return to Cranford (2009) as there aren't any questions from that.
To Play: Type your name or username below and click start, then answer the 23 questions to the best of your ability without looking up the answers. Leave a comment and tell me what score you got!
What was your score?
Were there any questions that stumped you?
Out of Wives and Daughters (1999), North and South (2004) and Cranford (2007) which is your favorite?
Hope you're having a lovely weekend!
Wow! I must be a big Gaskell fan! I got 100%!! :)
ReplyDeleteMy score was 65. Not bad, I suppose, but I was hoping to do better considering I had just recently watched Cranford and I am currently reading North and South.
ReplyDeleteI did have a hard time on the actress questions. I probably would have looked up those people after I had watched Cranford, but it had been so long since I had seen Wives and Daughters, none of them looked familiar to me. Oh, well.
And my favorite? North and South by far!! ;-D
YAY! I got 100%! I suppose I'm a little too obsessed with Elizabeth Gaskell!
ReplyDeleteI got 87%... I thought the number of Lady Ludlow's sons wasn't given, and I forgot Fanny Thornton married Mr. Watson. *facepalm* Oh, and I got the last line in W&D wrong. All in all, great quiz!
ReplyDeleteI simply LOVE Elizabeth Gaskell! I got 22 of 23 correct.

I got 61 points. I have decided that I REALLY need to watch Cranford again.
ReplyDelete91%! Or 21/23. Some of the I had to guess on. This was a fun quiz! :-D
ReplyDeleteScore: 96%
ReplyDelete- I only missed question 20, because it was unanswered because I hit the "next" button too many times.
I can't say which of the 3 is my favorite, I love them all differently.
My score was 70%. The questions that stumped me were the actress questions, and the last line questions. :)
ReplyDeleteThis was fun. Thanks!
Brigid
Although I don't think anything from N&S can stump me, I haven't seen Cranford yet!! Can't take quiz until I remedy that. Anyone for reading Mary Barton? A group read at the C19 Proboards forum starts mid-September. :)
ReplyDeleteI got 100%. This was a lovely quiz! :)
ReplyDelete78%. ;-)
ReplyDeleteYikes, I got 61. I've read all the books and seen all the movies but Cranford.
