Period Drama Couples Hands Game - Answers!

These are the answers to the Period Drama Couples Hands Game from last week.
It was fun to see your answers come in. Thanks to everyone who played!

Period Drama Couples Hands Clues:

#1
Answer: Mr. Holbrook & Miss Matty Jenkyns in Cranford

~*~

#2
Answer: Jo March & Theodore Laurence "Laurie" in Little Women (1994)
I had a few comments about them not being a couple but a lot of people seem to think that they should have ended up together so I didn't feel too bad about including them. Besides, this photo was too nice not to use!

#3
Answer: Norman Warne & Beatrix Potter in Miss Potter
Again, another couple that didn't quite make it to the altar but when you think of this film it's the relationship between Norman & Beatrix that stands out.

~*~

#4
Answer: Princess Buttercup & Westley in The Princess Bride

~*~

#5
Answer: Jane Eyre & Mr. Rochester in Jane Eyre (2006)

~*~

#6
Answer: Bella Wilfer & John Harmon in Our Mutual Friend (1998)
Aww! Bella has a secret! :)

~*~

#7
Answer: Jane Bennet & Charles Bingley in Pride & Prejudice (2005)
One reader asked if I thought Mr. Bingley would have grabbed at the back of Jane's skirt. The answer of course NO! The gentlemanly Charles Bingley from the book wouldn't have dared even to touch Jane's skirt like that before an engagement was finalized. Shame on you fake Mr. Bingley!

  1. I'm ashamed now I didn't recognize #9, as I just rewatched that movie last week...
