To Play: Look at the first lines below and try to guess which period film or miniseries each quote comes from. I've taken out letters of some names and place names to make it a bit more of a challenge (but you don't need to guess these). Don't forget to answer the bonus question! Leave your guesses in a comment and I'll respond with your score. Guess as many times as you wish. Answers will be posted next Saturday.
Scoring: Ten points will be awarded for each correctly guessed period film. 40 Bonus Points can be earned by correctly answering the Bonus Question above. A total of 200 points can be earned.

Oooo, is the one from Little Women "Ding Dong Merrily on High"? I had always enjoyed it in that movie (I know it's in there, just not sure if it's the first one), and then one year we got a CD of older Christmas carols and that was on it...and to this day, whenever I hear that, it reminds me of that movie. :)
ReplyDelete#4 is Emma.
Feel like I should know #6...*sigh*. Oh well. :P :)
#7 sure sounds like Cranford. But having only seen it once...I confess to not being sure at all.
#10, I assume the missing word must be Grimm. But that's no help, because I'm sure I've never seen that.
#11 is Princess Bride! Hehe...like that movie. :)
#12...they say that poem in Anne of Green Gables. And the missing words are Camelot and Shalot. But unfortunately...well, I'm guessing an AoGG film. Probably the second one. Or maybe the first.
#15 is S&S.
There. That's my guesses. By the way, have you ever watched Merlin? You might enjoy that TV show...it's a very good one. And free on Hulu, season 1-4. I'm currently addicted.:P ;) But they have a few really pretty dresses in that!
oooh! This is a hard one....

ReplyDeleteI can only assume that #7 is from another Cranford film? But I've only seen the one. It just sounds like those ladies.

I think you must have miss-numbered your guesses a bit but you've put four answers in a row correct so even though you numbered them 7, 8, 9, 7 I think you must have meant 9, 10, 11, 12 - if so then those guesses were correct.
