Emma and Eginhard
'Emma and Eginhard' by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow is full of tenderness and love. Eginhard's feeling for the princess Emma are instant and strong.
The pic is from a favorite movie 'Amazing Grace' which featured an excellent cast and a great story of freedom and courage.
Above is my favorite quote from the poem together with a photo from the new adaptation of 'A Room With a View' which I thought was excellent.
This photo I took last winter on my back deck. I was so surprised at how well it fit with the quote.
I hope you get a chance to read the whole poem sometime I'm sure you can find it online. Also Amazing Grace and A Room With a View are noteworthy films.

Lovely Lady
Today prominent period film actress Kate Winslet turned 33 years old. The talented actress nicknamed "English Rose" first appeared in Emma Thompson's Sense & Sensibility (as Marianne Dashwood) followed by Thomas Hardy's Jude (as Sue Bridehead), Kenneth Branagh's Hamlet (as Ophelia), Titanic (as Rose), Quills (as Madeleine 'Maddy' LeClerc) and Finding Neverland (as Sylvia Llewelyn Davies).
She was the youngest actress ever to be nominated for two Academy Awards, for Sense & Sensibility and Titanic at the ages of 20 and 22 respectively. She also turned down main roles in period films Shakespeare in Love (taken by Gwyneth Paltrow) and Anna and the King (given to Jodie Foster).
Five degrees of separation in period film:
Kate Winslet (Marianne) was in Sense & Sensibility with
Greg Wise who was in The Moonstone with
Keeley Hawes who was in Wives & Daughters with
Tom Hollander who was in Pirates of the Caribbean with
Johnny Depp who was in Finding Neverland with Kate Winslet!
P.S. I recommend most of the movies listed here with the exceptions of Quills, Titanic and Jude which I have never seen before and cannot verify their qualities or vices. I would consult a movie guide before viewing these films.
