For the Charles Dickens Knowledge Quiz, my score was 67%. I got 10 questions correct, and the other 5 wrong. So apparently, that's considered a fail. :( But I enjoyed it so much! Love the questions you thought up of!

What a delightful quiz! "Martin Cheezewiz" and "Great Exaltations" really made me laugh, as did "The Life and Adventures of Thomas Knuckleboy"... did you base that last one on Mrs. Squeers, by any chance? :)
One thing I noticed though... you asked how many spirits visited Scrooge and the correct answer is actually one more than the correct answer you gave... did you forget Jacob Marley?
This was such fun! I got 93/100 (14 questions). I missed the one about the famous children's author--that is really interesting, I didn't know that! Unwanted houseguest, eh? I guess they didn't get along, then. :)

Ugh! I only got 60 on the quiz! (Even though I cheated a little because I didn't notice that it said "Martin Cheezewiz" [that's what happens when I hurry] so I re-took it. :P) Well, now I know more about Charles Dickens...

I loved your "shake me up" and "brimstone beast" question. ;-)

Here are the scrambles I recognize at the moment, and I'll probably come back later:
2. Betsey Trotwood
4. Herbert Pocket
5. Sydney Carton
6. Agnes Wickfield
7. Judy Smallweed?
8. Pet Meagles

I took the two character quizzes. I got Esther Summerson and Lucie Manette! And was surprised both times! Hehe... but I'm glad. It's nice, you know, to get the heroines on quizzes. :P
And on Lucie's, it said: "your forehead is so expressive you don't even need to open your mouth" (or something like that) which made me laugh because I've been told before that I have an expressive forehead. :P Although I didn't think about that when I was reading the description of Lucie in A Tale of Two Cities the other day...

Melody,
On your Unscramble answers you got all six guesses correct! I'll post your full comment later in the week.

enjoyed your little quiz at the top, though I failed very badly! :) I enjoyed the Bleak House character quiz too!

I have never read any of Charles Dickens, yet was stupid enough to take the quiz, and my score was 7%.
It doesn't get more embarrassing than that!

In the What Bleak House Character Are You I was:
Ms. Esther Summerson. (I am SO not her!)

In the What Tale Of 2 Cities Character are you I was:
Dr. Manette. (And that description is CERTAINLY not me either!)

I got 93% on your Charles Dickens quiz; you stumped me with the unwelcome guest question, lol. Though knowing about that person's lifestyle I am not surprised Charles Dickens did not welcome them.

I was Esther Summerson in the Bleak House quiz and Doctor Manette in the A Tale of Two Cities quiz, very funny because I am not like either character at all!

Isn't Gad's Hill a delightful website? I discovered it about a year ago and got alot of enjoyment from doing all the quizzes and puzzles. Did you see the virtual tour of Dickens' house? My siblings and I had fun looking at his house and neighborhood on Google Maps street view. The district is very charming.

Thanks for posting the quizzes!
