Picture Riddle Game

M'dear friend Melody at Regency Delight came up with a very clever idea for a game: A Riddle In Pictures. I thought that it was such a neat idea that I simply had to try it myself.

This is a Wordless Riddle, the solution can be found in looking at the photos below, but I'll only be able to give you a tiny hint as to what the answer is. Hopefully this won't be too difficult (my sister warned me it might be). Much thanks to Melody for testing the riddle out for me - Marianne you're the sweetest!

To Play: Look at the photos below and leave your guess in a comment. I'll respond telling you whether you got it right or not. The answer to this riddle will be revealed next week (July 21st).

Hint: A famous literary quote.

Happy puzzling!

The 'famous literary quote' gave it away. "It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife."

Payton, Anne-girl, Jessa Bri and Maria Elizabeth, you all got the correct answer!

And here I was concerned that no one would be able to decipher it! :)

I'm terrible at these, but I'm going to guess (mainly from the last two pictures) "It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife."

Hi Miss Laurie!

Thanks for another fun game! Sorry I am a bit late, and sorry if the wording isn't quite right, but is it the quote from Pride & Prejudice along the lines of ... 'an unmarried man in possesion of a great fortune must be in want of a wife' ?

Thanks again!
