The Nicknames Game {2}

This is second game of its type, the first one can be found here. This might be a little more difficult than the last Nickname Game but hopefully not too hard.

To Play: Read the clues below and leave a comment guessing what period drama each clue is talking about. I'll hopefully respond with your score. Answers will be posted next week.

Scoring: One point for each correctly guessed period drama. A total of 10 points can be earned.

Period Drama Nicknames:

#1. In this period drama series the heroine's slip of the tongue sticks so she calls her future husband "Manly". He calls her "Beth" after her middle name of Elizabeth.

#2. In this period drama the orphaned character Harriet Beadle's name is changed to "Tatty Coram".

#3. In this period drama a family friend is called after his surname but the heroine calls him "Teddy".

#4. In this period drama the hero's former occupation reminds his friend of the piece of music The Harmonious Blacksmith so he calls him "Handel" after the composer.

#5. In this period drama a well loved daughter's family calls her "Pet" although her name is really Minnie.

#6. In this period drama the hero's young pick-pocketing friend is known as the "Artful Dodger".

#7. In this period drama the heroine's faithful very protective nurse calls her "Ladybird".

#8. In this period drama a supporting character is called "Twister" and few people except his wife call him Thomas.

#9. In this period drama musical the heroine's childhood nickname is "Little Lotte".

#10. In this period drama the heroine slips up and calls her brother "Tip" although their father remonstrates that he should be called by his real name of Edward.

Have fun!
