Another Classic Literature In Other Words

This is a second game exactly like the Classic Literature In Other Words I posted a couple weeks ago. The general idea is that I've provided written clues, similar to crossword clues, that are the titles of classic books rewritten.

Example: If the clue was "inky handsomeness" then "inky" would be Black and handsomeness would be Beauty giving you the book title Black Beauty. Make sense?

Hint: Some words in the titles have been broken down into components to make the word easier to decipher, when this happens I have put a plus sign (+) to signify that the clues form one word.

To Play: Read the clues below to figure out what works of classic literature I'm thinking of. Comment with your answers and I'll respond with your score. Guess as many times as you wish. I'll post the answers next Saturday.

Classic Literature Clues:

#1. Jolly Christmas saint, five cent piece+buzzing honey insect.

#2. Circulating the globe in eighty 24 hour segments.

#3. Abducted.

#4. The king's son and the beggar.

#5. The Venetian salesman.

#6. The opposite of East and West.

#7. The aged oddities emporium.

#8. The trio of gunmen.

#9. Disciple who denied Christ, pot for frying.

#10. The middle of sunshine season evening's slumber vision.

#11. M and A.

#12. The hidden place for plants.

#13. Wisdom and emotional capacity.

#14. Vanity and bigotry.

#15. Me+school automobile+garden tool used to break up the soil.

Enjoy!

Very Truly Your's,

4- The Merchant of Venice
6- North and South
7- The Old Curiosity Shop
8- The Three Musketeers (haha, when I first read this I was thrown off a bit. Gunmen? Don't they do swords? It's funny how we never think of three musketeers as being gunmen, but rather "dueling cavaliers!")

10- Midsummer Night's Dream
11- What two letters of the alphabet express perfection? EMMA!
12- The Secret Garden
13- Sense and Sensibility
14- Pride and Prejudice
15- IVANHOE! (My goodness, you have no idea how long it took me to get this one. I was sitting there thinking, "Ibustrowel? I busshovel? Ibusrake?" Hahahaha. Then I finally decided to start thinking of titles that began with I, and when I hit on Ivanhoe it all made sense. Heehee.)
