Period Drama Couples Hands Game

I had a special request from readers Laura & Elisabeth who enjoyed my last Period Drama Couples Game (or Holding Hands Game) and wondered if I'd be persuaded to post another. After a bit of scrounging through my vast period drama photos collection I came up with enough new photos of couples holding hands that there should be a few other games like this in future.

If you have a suggestion for a game feel free to leave a comment or e-mail me, suggestions are always welcome because it's sometimes difficult to think up new games each week.

~*~
To Play: Look at the photos of hands below and try to guess the lady, the gentleman and which period drama they are from. Leave your guesses in a comment and I'll respond with your score. Feel free to guess as many times as you wish.

Scoring: Five points will be awarded for each correctly guessed lady, gentleman and period drama. A total of 180 points can be earned.

2- Jo and Laurie, Little Women (1994).
3- Beatrix and Mr. Warne, Miss Potter.
4- Westley and Buttercup (though technically you can't see Westley's hand :P), The Princess Bride.
5- I feel like I should know this one.
6- ?
7- Jane Bennet and Mr. Bingley, Pride and Prejudice 2005.
8- Looking at the snippet of lace.... oooh, I feel sure this is Marguerite and Sir Percy from The Scarlet Pimpernel!
9- Louisa Musgrove and Captain Wentworth from Persuasion 2007? It looks like Captain Wentworth's waistcoat.
10- Henry Tilney and Catherine from Northanger Abbey! Love that scene, so cute!
11- Roger and Molly from Wives and Daughters!
12- BEST FOR LAST!!! Emma and Mr. Knightley, Emma (2009). :D :D :D

I would love to see a trivia quiz from a period drama or two, if you're looking for more ideas! :D Quote quizzes are always delightful too.

1. I think this is Miss Matty and Mr. Holbrook from Cranford?

3. Hmm... not sure. It's not Miss Potter, is it?

6. Bella and John Harmon from Our Mutual Friend :)

8. Is this Sir Percy and Marguerite from TSP?

9. I don't know, but it's cute. ;)

10. Catherine and Henry, NA. :D (Just finished rereading that, by the bye.)

11. Hmm. Well, I recognize the dress. So I daresay it's one of two, but I suppose I must guess one. Is it Fanny Dorrit and Edmund Sparkler from LD?

12. AWWW I LOVE THAT PART. Ahem, Emma and Mr. Knightley, Emmer09. :D

As to games, I love the music ones... and I was thinking about some twist or theme to that a long time ago but now I can't remember. :-/ Also, I don't think you've had a Quote Game for a while. :D Those are very fun.

Oooor, maybe you could combine the two of those and have a video quote game where we hear little clips of what people are saying. Heehee. It could even just be something really random.
Ha, that was just something that spontaneously popt into my head just now. Feel free to ignore it. ;)

Melody,
Your guesses on #1, #6, #8, #10 (would love to hear your recent thoughts!) and #12 were correct. You also guessed the correct period drama on #3 (so go ahead and guess the couple). Your guess on #11 was incorrect but I bet you might have another idea! Your score is 80 points.

I think you should probably know #2 if you put your mind to it and possibly #4. I don't think you've seen #9 and probably not all of #5 and #7.

Loving your ideas for games! Both you and Amy mentioned the quote quizzes which MMG! I've been thinking I'd need to do another of those as well, I'm just not as good with remembering quotes as you two are. A video quote game might be quite interesting! :)

Oh, what a delicious idea for a game! I only know a couple of these off-hand... (Pardon the pun)

#2... whatever this is, I want to see it. :D He's holding her hand with BOTH of his! Awww!

#3- This looks like it should be from Anne of Green Gables or Anne of Avonlea, but I don't recognize the scene.

#4- The Princess Bride! :D I love Westley.

#5 - I feel like I should know this! But I can't pull it from my mind...

#7- GUFFAW. Smitten Mr. Bingley grabbing for Jane's ribbon in the '05 P&P. I don't think he really would have done that, do you? :P

#8 Hmmm... makes me think of Margeurite and Sir Percy in The Scarlet Pimpernel. Is it?

#11 - is that Molly and Roger in Wives and Daughters? I need to watch that movie again...

#12 is definitely Mr. Knightley and Emma from the new BBC Emma. :D Awwww.

Hello again Miss Laurie :)

Unfortunately we are still none the wiser on the three pictures we couldn't guess, but as far as number 10, I think there is a Henry Tilney (?) and a Catherine Morland in Northanger Abbey but I'm not sure if they are a couple. Thought it was worth a shot anyway! :)

Thanks again for the fun game!
