Anne Shirley and Autumn

"I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers. It would be terrible if we just skipped from September to November, wouldn't it? Look at these maple branches. Don't they give you a thrill--several thrills? I'm going to decorate my room with them."
- Anne of Green Gables, L.M. Montgomery

The foliage around my neighborhood is really turning quite lovely in shades of red, orange and yellow!

Here are some lovely pieces of Autumn:

Hope you're having a lovely week!

What beautiful pictures--did you take them all? I like the one of the leaves over the lake best. "Wouldn't it be dreadful if we just skipped from September to November?"

No, I didn't take all of those photos, I just reblogged them from a friend on Tumblr.
Thanks for mentioning the rest of Anne's quote about October. I should have looked it up to see if there was any more to her delightful reverie! I think I'm going to edit my post to include the rest of the quote. Thanks! :)
