Jane Austen Unscramble Game



Thanks to everyone who participated in the Period Drama Couples Quiz last week!

I'm hoping to have a new game each weekend. I've posted the answers and top scores here.

This week's game is all about Jane Austen.




Unscramble the letters below to form words or names related to Jane Austen's characters and novels. 
Puzzle letters are divided up into number of letters in each word/name but letters in whole clue should be rearranged to form answers.
Leave your answers in a comment below and I'll respond with your score. Make sure to include the puzzle numbers when answering.

Edit November 6, 2011 - Although I had the best of intentions I invariably added extra or left out letters in the puzzles. Thanks to everyone who has been playing and guessing despite this mix ups. I have checked all of the puzzles thoroughly and they should all be fixed now. So sorry for the confusion! :)

Yikes! I'm terrible at these things! And the name ones look so confusing! I'll guess more later, but for now, here's the ones I recognized:

Okay, I'm completely stumped on #3 and #13...but here are my guesses for the others:

4. Frank Churchill (there was only one "r" in the puzzle, but it was so close to his name, I couldn't imagine it being anyone else!)

9. Well, that could be 'Emma Woodhouse' except it's missing an 'o'...(Emma Woodhuse? or Wodhouse?)

Oh, I love scramble games! And since this one has to do with Jane Austen, I love it all the more. Now I'll try to see if I can decipher those mixed-up names.

Okay, adding that extra letter to #3 helped a lot! :D

#3 is "Lady Russell" and #13 is "Love and Friendship" (I had to do some research on Jane Austen's minor works to figure this one out!). ;)
