Rachel at Hope's Treasures was so sweet in passing along the Stylish Blogger Award to me.
From what I've seen the rules for this award are:
-List 7 random facts about yourself
-Award 5 other blogger and
-Thank the blogger who awarded you and link back to them
Seven random facts about me:
- Lately in the evenings my sister and I have been crocheting Christmas gifts and watching Lark Rise to Candleford, so much fun!
- My least favorite household chore is probably folding laundry but I enjoy washing dishes. Crazy huh?
- One day I'd like to own a conure. They are smart birds and so much fun!
- I love Cranberry things at Christmas including Cranberry English muffins, cranberry ginger ale and my cranberry body splash!
- One of my most favorite things is a girls day out with my mom and sister shopping and eating out. It's so much fun just to take our time browsing and spoiling ourselves a bit!
- I prefer wearing my contacts over wearing my glasses most days.
- Old-Fashioned Charm is currently up to 234 followers! I'm so thankful for each one you!
I'm passing along this award to:
Ella at The Door In The Air
Miss Dashwood at Yet Another Period Drama Blog
Maria Elisabeth at Miss Georgiana Darcy

I've tried to award lovely bloggers who I haven't awarded recently, but if anyone else would like to do this award go right ahead! It was difficult choosing just five Stylish Bloggers. :)
Thanks again Rachel for this lovely award!

I've been crocheting a Christmas gift while watching Bleak House with my brother. ;-)
I've gotten this award before! It was the first one I ever received. =)
Great job! we do love reading your blog!
Melody,
How delightful to have a brother who enjoys Dickens! My brother enjoyed Little Dorrit and Bleak House but he's not so much a fan of Jane Austen adaptations. My dad watched Bleak House again last week and came to the conclusion that it really is one of his favorite films. :) I thought you might have gotten this award before otherwise I would have passed it on to you too.
Little Lady,
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoy reading my blog!
Miss Laurie,
Thank you so much for awarding me! I'm delighted and will look forward to completing this tag.
I love cranberry things too-- I am going to e-mail you a wonderful recipe for Cranberry Bread if that is okay.
Thanks soo much Miss Laurie!
Miss Dashwood,
You're welcome! Oooh! A recipe for Cranberry Bread? I'd love to try that! My e-mail is on the left sidebar. :)
Ella,
You're welcome! I enjoy your blog and your comments on mine. :)
Miss Laurie,
Yeah, my brother likes Dickens a little better than Jane Austen, but he did enjoy P&P, S&S, and Emma with me. :-) Oh, and Persuasion too. He's also watched some Gaskell, and Jane Eyre.
Haha, as I was writing this, Mom was gathering library items and said "Are you done with Bleak House?" And my brother said "No!!!" ;-) We've just seen the murder, and he's anxious to know what happened. ha
Anyways. My dad seems to really enjoy everything. It's great. haha He and Mom started watching Martin Chuzzlewit without me recently (sniff) but he didn't get to finish it, so I'm going to catch up to his point & then we'll watch it together. When I saw that "Lydia Bennet" and "Mrs Jennings" were on it, it peaked my interest. ;-)
Thank you so much for awarding me:D .
I'll be posting it as soon as possible.
I love your new Christmas header! Christmasy things are my one weakness. ;-)Ha
I, too, am watching Bleak House, but alas, our brother is not here to watch it with me, too.
Also, I cannot crochet. Sewing is my preferred crafting technique, but none of that lately, either. Such is the life of a busy mother of two. Ha
Katie,
You're welcome, I hope you enjoy!
Melody,
My dad and I loved Martin Chuzzlewit! It's a bit slow moving but has some very interesting characters! I did a review of it a while back.
Haha, that's funny about your brother! I enjoy the mystery that Charles Dickens puts into his stories. Bleak House, Little Dorrit, Our Mutual Friend and Martin Chuzzlewit all have interesting mysteries and twists to them!
My brother has watched most of the Jane Austen adaptations when we've watched them as a family. I was surprised though when he watched Little Dorrit on his laptop and really enjoyed it. A while later he watched 'The Old Curiosity Shop' (which is actually quite sad) and asked me if I had any other films that were similar! He then watched Bleak House and got through a bit of Our Mutual Friend but got distracted by watching something else. My dad watches all the old and new Jane Austen adaptations, his and mom's favorite is still Persuasion 1995. Sometimes he raids my Jane Austen collection for DVDs and books. Persuasion is his favorite JA novel. :)
Jessica,
Thank you for your comment on my Christmas header. I had fun making it and putting together the Lark Rise to Candleford theme! :)
Isn't Bleak House delightful! Mr. Smallwood and Mr. Guppy are two of my favorites, even though they aren't nice all the time they can be so funny! Esther is such a lovely character!
I wish I could sew well, there's so many things I'd like to make. I'm just recently getting back into crocheting. My younger sister is actually better at crocheting than I am but she's more of a crafty kind of gal. It's been fun making scarves, hats and other gifts for family. :)
Miss laurie I enjoyed reading your facts, I too love cranberry things my mother makes a cranberry sauce nearly every night all my family loves it. My sisters and my mother and of corse I love to have girl outings, altho the boys love it also.
blessings
Miss Rachel Hop
